How It Works
A step-by-step guide to participating in PPL Tournament
Player Registration
Start by registering as a player. You'll need to provide:
- Full name and contact information
- Email address and phone number
- Player role (Batsman, Bowler, All-rounder, Wicket-keeper)
- Village name and player photo
Once you submit your registration, administrators will review your application. Make sure all information is accurate!
Register NowAdmin Approval
After you register, tournament administrators will review your application. This process ensures:
- All information is complete and valid
- You meet the eligibility criteria
- Your photo is appropriate
Once approved, you'll receive an email with your login credentials. You can then log in to view your profile and tournament participation.
Team Formation
Administrators create teams for each tournament and assign captains. Each team:
- Has a unique name, logo, and color
- Is assigned a captain (from approved players)
- Starts with an equal budget (typically 1000 points)
- Can have up to a maximum number of players (typically 15)
Captains receive notifications when they're assigned and can start preparing for auctions.
Player Auctions
This is where the excitement begins! Here's how auctions work:
Auction Rules:
- Fixed Timer: Each auction runs for 5 minutes (configurable)
- Grace Period: If a bid comes in during the last minute, the timer extends by 1 minute
- Bidding: Captains place bids in real-time
- Budget Check: You can only bid if you have sufficient budget
- Outbid Notifications: You'll be notified if someone outbids you
When an auction completes, the winning team automatically gets the player added to their roster, and the bid amount is deducted from their budget.
Player Locking
After auctions are complete, captains can lock up to 3 key players:
- Locked players cannot be removed from the team
- Each team can lock a maximum of 3 players
- Locking must be done before a specified deadline
- This helps captains secure their star players
Unlocked players may be subject to transfers or other tournament rules.
Tournament Play
Once teams are finalized, the tournament begins! Teams compete according to the tournament schedule and format. All team rosters, budgets, and statistics are publicly visible for transparency.
